Une comedie musicale sur l'holocaust

A brave theatre company has decided now is just the time to launch such a production on the West End stage.

Imagine This, about a group of amateur actors who put on a show in the Warsaw ghetto to keep their spirits up, opens at the New London Theatre on November 19 following previews from November 4.

Director Tim Sheader said he hoped Imagine This would follow in the footsteps of Les Misérables.

He promised that audiences would not emerge from the musical depressed, but enthused. (suite ici)

Le PETA s'en prend aux rabbis pour Yom Kipppour

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police are investigating a rabbi's complaint that he received a thousand threatening e-mails over the slaughter of chickens before a Jewish holy day.

Rabbi Shea Hecht of the National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education says the e-mails were sent by supporters of a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals campaign opposing the ritual. Police said Tuesday some people added threatening and anti-Semitic comments to an online PETA form letter. (suite ici)
